The Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS) is a non-governmental association. It is an arm of the Cameroon Academy of Sciences (CAS) whose members are young scientists and young scholars, selected for the excellence of their research impact and commitment to service for science. The first constituent assembly of CAYS was held on October 23, 2018. The CAYS is currently made up of 42 members amongst which are 10 Executive Committee Members. Members of the CAYS are selected among young scientists under 45, working in Cameroon for a term of three years renewable once. They must have demonstrated …. Read more.
The main organs of the CAYS are: the General Assembly, Colleges and Executive Committee. There are 3 colleges: Mathematics and Physical Sciences; Biological Sciences; and Social Sciences. Each college is managed by a Junior dean.
